Jeff graduated in 1981 from Bob Jones University with a dual major in Biology and Chemistry. He worked as a Research Scientist at Albany Medical College in the Pathology department for two years and then began his career in healthcare as a Nephrology Tech for ten years. He was the President of the National Association of Nephrology Technologists (NANT) and in 1991 was a awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by NANT for his groundbreaking work on Bicarbonate buffering dialysates and his contribution the National Dialysis Outcome Quality Initiative (DOQI) Guidelines. Jeff transitioned from his clinical role in 1993 and launched his commercial career when he sold his businesses to Fresenius where he obtained certification in Lean Six Sigma from Villanova University and quickly rose through the management ranks of Fresenius becoming the Director of Drug Manufacturing for Fresenius Medical Care Canada in 2002. He returned to his research and development focus in 2007 when he became a Principle Scientist for NxStage Medical. In 2014, he left NxStage to become the President & CEO of Pisa Biopharm and grew contract manufactures to over $50M of medical device products in the US market. He remains at Pisa today and has expanded his role to lead four additional Pisa Companies: CAB Enterprises, JCSA Holdings, Centerpiece, and last but not least, Hometa.

COO Bob Thompson joined the PiSA team in October 2018 and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Siena College. Bob brings over 25 years of results oriented financial execution with a privately-owned company that owned, managed and operated up to six (6) diverse ISO 9001 and Lean Six Sigma entities with facilities in France and US. Customers included M&M Mars, Johnson & Johnson, Roche, Bayer, Abbott, Novartis, LabCorp of America and Quest Diagnostic. His experience is in providing a strong operational partnership that supports business development through financial modeling and planning efforts to accomplish our strategic growth objectives. Bob assists CEO Jeff Hover in his leadership of the four additional PiSA Companies, CAB Enterprise, JCSA Holdings, Centerpiece and Hometa.
CFO Jennifer Mickle brings more than 25 years of Financial Management experience to Hometa. She holds a Bachelors degree in business and economics from SUNY Oswego as well as an MBA with concentrations in Finance and IT from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She has served as a CPA across industries including manufacturing, retail, pari-mutuel wagering, and real estate. Since joining the PiSA companies in November 2018, Jennifer has bolstered the financial infrastructure at Hometa. She also holds officer roles within PiSA BioPharm, CAB Enterprises, and JCSA Holdings.
Jennifer resides in Chatham, New York with her husband Mike. In her spare time she enjoys outdoor sports and watching her daughter compete in equestrian competitions.
Director of Research & Development
Ricardo possess over 20 years of experience in Engineering and Project Management on the Regulated Manufacturing, Chemical, Semiconductors and Construction industries including Utilities, Facilities, Equipment, R&D and Qualification. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico and a Master of Science in Management with a Major in Project Management. He joined PiSA Biopharm as the Engineering Manager in 2016 and transitioned to Hometa as the Director of Product Development in July 2020.
Ricardo lives in the Capital Region with his wife Katy and their two children Ryan and Kyrialis. In his spare time, he enjoys playing drums and music with his children, with whom he also shares being a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do.
Director of Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs
Raza holds a Bachelors in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the prestigious Sultan Ul Uloom College of Pharmacy, as well as a Masters in Biotechnology with a Concentration on Regulatory Affairs from Johns Hopkins University. He holds certifications from American Society of Quality (ASQ); Certified Quality Auditor and Certified Pharmaceutical GMP Professional, and is also Regulatory Affairs Certified (RAC) from Regulatory Affairs Professional Society. Raza began with the company in October of 2016 as Regulatory Affairs Manager, and in October of 2017 assumed his current role, as Director of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs.

Michelle McCabe, BSN
Michelle McCabe holds a BSN from Russel Sage College and has served as a healthcare director for more than ten years, specializing in healthcare management, patient outcomes, medical sales, and medical device education. Before joining Hometa in July of 2020, Michelle spent ten years with the Center for Disability Services overseeing healthcare services and admissions. In her current role, Michelle manages Clinical Trials, Clinical Partnerships, Government Partnerships, and Medical Device Education.
Michelle lives in Delmar and has three daughters. In her spare time she enjoys hot yoga and long walks with her dogs.
Business Development Manager
Jeff brings 10+ years of healthcare strategic planning and business intelligence to Hometa’s product portfolio development. Prior to joining Hometa, Jeff has held various consulting and project management engagements with large-scale pharmaceutical companies. Jeff’s interests include business development, licensing deals, and product placement. He holds a Bachelors in Biochemistry from Skidmore College, and Master of Business Administration from the University of Albany.
Jeff lives in Saratoga Springs where he enjoys biking, climbing, and is looking to start a side-business creating unique hot pepper jams with his home-grown peppers.
Mary joined the company in 2015 as a Junior Engineer, fresh out of college with a Bachelors in Bioengineering from Union College. She earned her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and became a Project Engineer in December 2018 and in July 2020, she assumed her current role as Engineering Manager.
Mary lives with her husband in Saratoga Springs and spends her time outside of work hiking in the Adirondacks and skiing.
Sales Operations Manager
Stephanie graduated from Arizona State University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Political Science and Business. Stephanie brings over 15 years of experience in business analytics and operations management. Stephanie has streamlined sales processes, systems, and analytics for companies in the financial services, medical equipment, and manufacturing industries over the course of her career.
Stephanie lives in Saratoga Springs, NY but can often be found anywhere but her home. She has an affinity for travel and outdoor recreation: hiking, biking, paddle boarding, swimming, and learning her latest hobby: cross country skiing.
Cabrina holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Science from Binghamton University, and brings both clinical and quality assurance experience to her role as Marketing Manager of Hometa. She spent her first year with PiSA as Marketing Coordinator before serving in her current role, during which time she launched the Hometa brand and DripAssist product. She looks forward to building Hometa’s presence in the industry through educational advertising and valuable industry participation.
Cabrina is also a freelance food blogger for several Capital Region publications and resides in Saratoga Springs where she enjoys snowboarding and golfing.
Donna brings over 30 years of sales experience to her role at Hometa. She spent the majority of her career in financial services, working for companies like Newkirk Products, DST Retirement Solutions and SS&C Technologies. For the last 20 years, Donna has managed numerous sales programs and heightened brand awareness through extensive networking and valuable relationship cultivation. Donna joined PiSA in 2019 as part of the Inside Sales Team before assuming her current role with Hometa earlier this year.
Donna resides in Ballston Spa with her husband Rick. In her spare time she collects retro lunchboxes and spends much of her time in the summers on her boat in Saratoga Lake.
Quality Assurance Coordinator
Kristine joined the company in 2014 when PiSA BioPharm was first created. She started in the beginning doing clerical work and scheduling until 2015 when she transferred into the Quality department. Diving into quality studies Kristine has obtained two certifications including: Certified Internal Auditor in 2018, and Certified Quality Process Analyst (CQPA) in 2019. Kristine currently is the Quality Assurance Coordinator at Hometa while actively working on completing her bachelor’s in Quality Systems Management through Bowling Green Ohio State University.
Outside of work Kristine enjoys working on projects with her husband, including building a pond and building a tree farm. Kristine also enjoys playing with her very active daughter and being a pet mom of four dogs, three cats, two fish and a turtle.
